Some random thoughts.....

..Well, I hope everyone had a good week! It's gotten a bit warm here again for the last few days, but not quite as bad as our 105+ heatwave a few weeks ago.

The radio station is starting to get noticed! We've handed out almost 20 little mini radios with batteries to local businesses in town, with the promise that if we give it to them, they must listen to Cool Country 1590! As so far, according to my sales guy, Chris, not one business has said no. Sure, they could change the station when we live, but frnakly, they won't have much of a choice as reception on these little radios is only good for "LOCAL" stations. Our AM tower is closest to almost every business in town, being a mere 2 or 3 miles away compared to the nearest FM tower being 5 or so miles away.

On another subject...

Hello to Keri Jones and everyone at Radio Scilly (www.radioscilly.com)! 107.9 Radio Scilly is a 200 Watt Community Radio Station licensed by OfCom(Office Of Communications, www.ofcom.org.uk) for The Scilly Islands. The islands are 30 miles off the southwest coast of England. They not only have a live audio stream, in both dialup and broadband quality but a LIVE in studio webcamera/video stream as well! Check them out and tell them Paul Walker from Abbeville, South Carolina, USA sent you!

I really wish I had the money to take a vacation. I really would like to Europe and Spain. I have a few specific places I REALLY want to visit:

***United Kingdom
***Austria
***Turkey
***Moscow, Russia
***Canary Islands

But that would be an expensive trip! I'd honestly love to live somewhere in Europe/England, but that's extremely hard to do.. getting a work visa and all is NOT easy! But, living/working in radio over there is on my list of things to achieve in my lifetime.

When I was at the grocery store last week, someone who was probably younger then me was bagging my groceries. After he was finished, he said, "Thank you Sir, have a great day!"... I'm only 23 years old and Im being called Sir! LOL, that made me feel kinda old. Plus, you'd never see that up north.

I'm sure I'll think of something later... and when I do, I'll update this, again!
